02How do I make sure a Kansas City roofer is legit before I sign anything?
Five things, and any honest roofer will hand them over without a fuss. One, their Missouri Department of Commerce & Insurance roofing registration (required statewide since 2023) or, on the Kansas side, their local city registration. Two, a certificate of insurance sent straight from their carrier, covering both liability and workers' comp so you are not on the hook if someone gets hurt on your property.
