About Headwaters Roofing
Headwaters Roofing is Jim Huntsman's company, based in Heron, Montana, close to the Idaho line. Jim is a Marine veteran who started out in his parents' construction business and has more than 20 years in roofing, including time with a roofing material manufacturer. Headwaters has been working since 2024, and Jim personally supervises or inspects its jobs. The company covers North Idaho and Northwest Montana, from Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint to Libby, Kalispell and Missoula, on asphalt shingle roofs, standing seam and other metal roofs, and Brava composite.
What sets Headwaters apart is the choice you get at the inspection. Besides repair and replacement, it's an authorized GoNano installer, so an aging shingle roof that still qualifies can get a restoration treatment instead of coming off. The company says it straight: if the roof is too far gone, they'll tell you. That helps a homeowner who suspects the roof isn't finished yet and wants an honest read before spending the money. It's owner-run, so the person giving that read is the one who answers for the job.
